At Silver Spur Outfitters, fall offers the perfect weather during black bear and elk hunting season in Idaho.  Hunting in the backcountry of units 19 & 20, our hunting parties enjoy being completely removed from civilization, as it allows them to be totally immersed in this experience with nature. Black bear season reopens the last day of August and we immediately re-bait spring-established fall sites.  Once the bait sites are reestablished, we are back on the hunt, generally starting at the end of the 2nd week of September and hunting through the end of October.

When Elk hunting in Idaho, Bull Elk are found around just about every type of terrain.  A Silver Spur Outfitters’ backcountry Idaho elk hunt is a dream come true for many hunters. These hunts offer a 2-tag system in most zones – A tag & B tag. In general, A tags provide more opportunity for muzzleloader and archery hunters. B tags provide more opportunity for center fire rifle hunters. Hunters may select one zone and choose either an A tag or a B tag.
