Mount Borah
Mount Borah is Idaho’s highest mountain with a peak of 12,662 feet. The Southwest Ridge 9-mile trip is a challenging climb for any avid hiker, and ice axes and crampons are recommended to attack this hike. This is a dangerous climb, but it is definitely possible to complete if you’re prepared.
Echo Crater
This hiking adventure consists of the pahoehoe lava flows, Broken Top cinder cone, and the lava trees. The Craters of the Moon National Monument is an 8-mile round-trip rugged volcanic moonscape. This can be a great night backpacking adventure.
Sawtooth Lake
This hike has everything you could possibly want from an outdoor adventure. It consists of the forest, creek, roaring waterfalls, and the Alpine Lake. You will be able to view Mt. Reagan from the Alpine Lake.
